Company Analysis

One of the requirements of all courses is the session long project where students have an opportunity to apply ideas and concepts for the current module to a real world situation. Your specific assignment for this week is to select an organization for your project and have it approved by your professor. You may consider any of these organizations as long as you have enough access to that organization to respond to the assignments. [Note: you will not be asked to reveal any proprietary or confidential information in your reports. Most of your reports will be based on your observations.] • The business for which you work. • A business organization for which a close friend or relative works and to which you have access. • Any non-business oriented organization such as a non-profit organization. You will need the following financial information to prepare the analysis for future modules: • Selling price/charge for a minimum of two products/services. • Cost associated with providing the unit or service. • Information about variable and fixed costs. Keep the following in mind when you decide on an organization: • Small businesses (or non-profits as long as the charge for a service or product) are ideal for this course if you have access to information. • Public companies can also be used, but it is often more difficult to find the information needed. You will have to go outside the official financial statements to find some of the necessary (or approximations) of the information needed. • Organizations without any kind of revenues are trickier to analyze in this course. It can be done with some creativity. • Form 990 (tax return) is an ideal place (publicly available) to find financial information for non-profit organizations. Modular SLP Assignment Expectations: Please upload a short summary (2 to 3 pages) to CourseNet for approval with the following information: Name of the organization, type of business, your relationship or interest in the organization and how you expect to obtain information (Internet, financial statements, employer, friends, etc.) for the projects. If you choose a publicly held company, please specify what product, service or unit you plan to analyze Business Management Assignment Help, Business Management Homework help, Business Management Study Help, Business Management Course Help
